Runner-up voor de Glasaward 2025, hoogste beoordeling van de vakjury!
At the beginning of 2021, IFS was selected by Van Dinther Bouwbedrijf for the special XXL (next level category glass dimensions) glass walls for the chapels of the Stevenskerk in Nijmegen.
After 3D measuring and various studies, IFS has determined the scope: The (Model) Glass, sometimes with lengths of more than 10 meters, consisting of 4 layers of glass, has been used to provide the chapels with glass. The glass is iron oxide poor (Low Iron) in combination with special foils between the glass. Glass mounts/assembly methodology using project-specific solutions/facilities compiled by IFS itself.
Masterplan 2019: The glass wall designed for each chapel allows optimal light to pass through and restores the spatial coherence between the chapel and church space. The glass panels are virtually invisibly attached to each other via slim sealant seams and are contained in a slim steel frame. (Source: Website Van Hoogevest Architecten).
