Project Nieuwendijk Amsterdam

For this project, IFS was involved in the design phase for the engineering as well as the delivery and installation of this now iconic facade!

The insulating glass with a laminated inner sheet is hot-bent and the elegant wave is created by the glass being both concave (hollow) and convex.

The scope of delivery included the entire front facade; on the ground floor the entrance and both sidelights. The decorative frame of the window frames and the decoration of the panel rails. Of course, the curved glass facades on the first floor as well as the ornamental fences and curved composite steel girders. Also partly the interior finishing, the box girder above the entrance and the contour-following panels and the round column cladding.

The end result can be called more than beautiful!

Voor dit project is IFS in de ontwerpfase betrokken bij de engineering alsmede leveren en monteren van deze nu al iconische gevel!

Het isolatieglas met gelaagd binnenblad is warmgebogen en door het zowel concaaf (hol) als convex (bol) uitgevoerd glas ontstaat de sierlijke golf.

De leveringsomvang betrof de gehele voorgevel; op de begane grond de entreepartij en de beiden zijlichten. De decoratieve omlijsting van de kozijnen en de decoratie van de paneelregels. Uiteraard de gebogen glasgevels op de etage alsmede de sierhekjes en gebogen samengestelde staalliggers. Tevens deels de binnen afwerking, de kokerligger boven de entreepartij en de contourvolgende panelen en de ronde kolombekleding.

Het eindresultaat is meer dan fraai te noemen!
